RC-NI100-V Ni-Based Superalloy High Pressure Hydrothermal Reactor
The RC-NI100-V reactor is engineered for precise hydrothermal synthesis and heat treatment of advanced materials under elevated oxygen or inert gas pressures. Its robust construction from a nickel-based superalloy, such as Waspaloy or an equivalent, ensures exceptional creep strength and oxidation resistance, enabling reliable operation at temperatures reaching 1100°C. This capability makes it particularly suitable for applications requiring high-temperature processing under controlled atmospheres.
This compact reactor supports two internal volume options—65 mL and 100 mL—allowing flexibility based on sample size and experimental requirements. The design accommodates continuous heating up to 1000°C and short-term heating up to 1100°C, with maximum allowable pressures varying according to temperature and volume. The reactor is powered by an AC supply ranging from 120V to 220V at 50/60 Hz, delivering 2.2 kW output power for effective thermal control.

Typical Applications
This reactor is ideal for hydrothermal synthesis of advanced ceramics, catalysts, and other materials requiring high-temperature and high-pressure oxygen or inert gas environments. It is also suitable for heat treatment processes that demand precise control of atmosphere and temperature up to 1100°C.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The reactor includes a stainless steel 306 needle valve with a 1/4″ pipe connector for gas flow control. Optional accessories such as 304 stainless steel tube fittings, digital pressure gauges, and pressure relief valves are available to enhance safety and operational control. For high-temperature operation, the reactor can be inserted into a vertical furnace equipped with a temperature controller capable of reaching 1100°C.
Safety precautions require placing the high-pressure vessel and furnace inside an explosion-proof enclosure or under a fume hood during operation. Users must avoid facing the top flange directly to prevent injury in case of failure. Installation of a gas pressure regulator is mandatory to prevent over-pressurization. Proper torque of 200 N·m should be applied to flange screws using a torque spanner to avoid damage.
