OTF-1700X-6Z Six-Zone Split Tube Furnace with Alumina Tube and Air-Tight Flange

The OTF-1700X-6Z is engineered for laboratory applications demanding precise high-temperature treatment with controlled atmosphere capabilities. This split tube furnace accommodates samples within a robust alumina tube featuring a 60 mm outer diameter and 1800 mm length, sealed by an air-tight water-cooled vacuum flange to maintain low-pressure or vacuum environments up to 3 psig.

Its six independently controlled heating zones span a total length of 1400 mm, enabling the creation of stable thermal gradients up to 10°C per centimeter. The furnace reaches temperatures up to 1700°C within 60 minutes and supports continuous operation between 800°C and 1600°C, with vacuum operation possible below 1450°C. The heating elements are high-grade molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2), and temperature is monitored by B-type thermocouples for accuracy.

Key Features

  • Six heating zones with individual PID controllers for precise temperature management.
  • Alumina tube (Ø60 mm × 1800 mm) with included water-cooled vacuum flange.
  • Maximum temperature of 1700°C with uniform zone of 1000 mm at ±5°C stability at 1400°C.
  • Heating rate less than 10°C per minute for controlled ramping.
  • RS485 serial communication port compatible with LabVIEW-based control software for recipe editing and data logging.
  • Double-layer mild steel furnace case with cooling fans maintaining surface temperature below 70°C.
  • Overheating and broken thermocouple interlock and alarm for operational safety.
