KSL-1500X-GS125 Bottom-Loading Inert Gas Atmosphere Box Furnace with 125L Chamber, Up to 1400°C
The KSL-1500X-GS125 is engineered for laboratory applications requiring controlled atmosphere heat treatment of large samples or batches. Its spacious 125-liter heating chamber, measuring approximately 20 inches cubed, accommodates sizable specimens while maintaining a stable inert or oxygen environment. This furnace is ideal for processes such as sintering, annealing, or material testing where precise atmosphere and temperature control are critical.
This model employs a bottom-loading design with an electric hydraulic lift capable of handling loads up to 200 kg, facilitating safe and ergonomic sample insertion and removal. The vacuum-sealed steel chamber, combined with a water-cooled sealing jacket, ensures durability and effective atmosphere isolation. The furnace uses twelve silicon carbide (SiC) heating elements embedded in high-grade alumina fiber insulation to achieve uniform heating up to 1400°C, with a continuous working temperature of 1300°C.

Configuration & Operating Notes
Optional heating elements such as MoSi2 or molybdenum can extend maximum temperature capability to 1700°C at additional cost. For safe operation, a two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on gas cylinders to maintain pressure below 3 PSI. The furnace includes over-temperature protection and thermocouple failure alarms to allow unattended operation. To maximize service life, heating and cooling rates should not exceed 5°C per minute. Users should note that minor refractory ceramic surface cracks may develop over time and can be repaired with alumina coating. Corrosive or acidic gases are not recommended as they may damage heating elements and void warranty.
