GSL-1200X-MGI-4 Four-Channel 1200°C Tube Furnace with 3″ ID Quartz Tubes for High-Throughput Annealing

The GSL-1200X-MGI-4 is engineered to facilitate efficient heat treatment of multiple samples simultaneously, making it well-suited for alloy and ceramic material research. This tube furnace supports high-throughput annealing by accommodating four independent heating zones within a compact footprint, enabling researchers to investigate phase diagrams and material properties under controlled thermal conditions.

Each of the four channels incorporates a quartz tube with an 80 mm outer diameter and 75 mm inner diameter, providing a stable environment for sample processing. The furnace can reach and maintain temperatures up to 1200°C with precise control, allowing for continuous operation at this maximum temperature. The integrated touch screen controller offers programmable temperature profiles for each channel, enhancing flexibility and ease of use.

Key Features

  • Four independent heating channels with separate temperature control up to 1200°C.
  • Includes four 3″ ID quartz tubes (80 OD x 75 ID x 500 mm length) for sample containment.
  • Touch screen controller with 24-segment programmable temperature profiles per channel.
  • Heating elements use durable Ni-Cr-Al resistance wire for reliable performance.
  • Vacuum-compatible design with KF25 ports, mechanical vacuum gauges, and needle valves for gas flow and vacuum control.
  • Max vacuum capability of 10-5 torr achievable with a single turbopump connection.
  • RS485 communication port and PC software enable remote monitoring and data logging.

Typical Applications

This furnace is ideal for high-throughput annealing processes in materials science research, including phase diagram studies and thermal treatment of alloys and ceramics. Its multi-channel design allows simultaneous processing of samples at different temperatures, optimizing laboratory workflow and experimental throughput.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The furnace includes four quartz tubes, flowmeters, vacuum flanges, mechanical vacuum gauges, and needle valves for precise gas and vacuum control. Only one vacuum pump is needed, connected via a KF25 port. Users must install a pressure regulator on gas tanks to prevent overpressure above 7.5 PSI (0.5 atm). The power cable is supplied without a plug; users should install a compatible plug locally. Optional modifications for larger chemical vapor deposition (CVD) systems are available upon consultation.
