GBF1700RHP4 Rapid Hot Pellet Press with Glovebox Integration, 1600°C Max, 100 MPa Pressure, and Fast Cooling
The GBF1700RHP4 is engineered for pressing pellets at elevated temperatures within a controlled glovebox atmosphere, suitable for sensitive materials requiring inert gas environments. This system facilitates rapid inductive heating of samples up to 1600°C at approximately 1°C per second, combined with pressing forces reaching 100 MPa, enabling precise densification and synthesis of advanced materials.
Integrated into a glovebox with oxygen and moisture levels below 1 ppm, the press maintains an inert atmosphere using high-purity nitrogen or argon gas. The pressing assembly includes a 5-ton motorized electric press with an oilless design and programmable settings for pressure and dwell time. Rapid cooling is achieved by water-cooled copper clamps that directly contact the graphite die and sample, enabling cooling rates up to 10°C per second to preserve microstructure and reduce thermal stress.
Key Features
- Inductive heating with 15 kVA power supply, frequency fixed at 30-80 kHz, providing uniform and rapid temperature ramp-up.

Typical Applications
This hot pellet press is ideal for synthesizing dense ceramic or composite pellets under inert atmospheres, useful in battery material research, solid-state electrolyte fabrication, and advanced ceramics development. The rapid heating and cooling capabilities support studies requiring precise thermal profiles and quick quenching to preserve microstructures.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The system includes all necessary feedthroughs for power, thermocouples, induction coils, and communication lines integrated into the glovebox. Water cooling is essential for the induction coils, copper clamps, power supply, and glovebox circulation, with recommended water flow rates above 8 L/min and pressures above 0.2 MPa. Optional water chillers are available for short-term or long-term operation. On-site installation is required for both the glovebox and hot press but is not included. Safety features include overheating and thermocouple failure protection. The press uses an oilless motorized design to maintain glovebox cleanliness.
