The IMCS-1700GB is engineered to address the challenges of melting and processing metallic alloys that are highly sensitive to oxygen and moisture. By integrating an induction melting furnace with a glove box environment, it enables precise temperature control and an inert atmosphere with oxygen and water vapor levels maintained below 1 ppm. This setup is ideal for experimental workflows requiring contamination-free melting under controlled atmospheres.
The system employs electromagnetic induction heating via a 15 kW power supply that surrounds a 5-inch quartz tube melting chamber. The quartz tube is vacuum-sealed with stainless steel flanges and housed within a glove box equipped with a gas purification system and automatic purging to maintain ultra-low oxygen and humidity. The glove box also features HEPA filtration and a two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump for pressure control down to 100 Pa.

Regular regeneration of the purification materials is necessary to sustain performance. The oxygen sensor is consumable with an approximate one-year lifespan. Use of flammable or toxic gases should be avoided unless proper safety measures are implemented.
