MSK-211-VGB Automatic Electrolyte Injection and Manual Sealing Vacuum Glovebox for Cylindrical Battery Cells
The MSK-211-VGB is engineered to facilitate the assembly of cylindrical lithium-ion battery cells by integrating automated electrolyte injection and manual sealing within a vacuum-compatible glovebox. This system enables researchers to fabricate cylindrical cells without the need for costly dry room facilities, maintaining a controlled environment that significantly reduces electrode oxidation and contamination risks.
The glovebox chamber supports vacuum operation down to 0.08 Torr with closed flanges and can be switched to an inert gas atmosphere by opening the flanges. Electrolyte injection is performed under vacuum to ensure thorough wetting of electrodes, while sealing is conducted in an inert atmosphere to preserve cell integrity. This combination is ideal for advancing lithium-ion battery research closer to industrial standards.

It supports battery material scientists and engineers in fabricating prototype cells with minimized contamination and oxidation, facilitating more reliable performance evaluation.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The glovebox includes a single built-in antechamber; a dual antechamber is available as an option. Various trays for different cell sizes and shapes can be customized upon request. The pneumatic crimping machine comes standard with a 18650 die; other dies such as 21700 or 21650 are available but should be requested in advance. Users are advised not to change crimping dies independently to ensure proper sealing and safety.
Optional accessories include a gas purification system to maintain oxygen and moisture levels below 1 ppm and a compressive gas pump. The control panel outside the glovebox allows programming of vacuum levels, injection parameters, and platform movement for precise operation.
