MSK-AFA-MC200 Small Roll-to-Roll Coater with Optional Blade, Slot Die, Micro Gravure Coating and Laminating
The MSK-AFA-MC200 is engineered for laboratory-scale roll-to-roll coating and calendaring applications, enabling precise deposition of thin films onto flexible substrates such as copper, aluminum, PET, PP, and PE films. It addresses the need for adaptable coating processes by accommodating various coating heads and drying mechanisms, making it suitable for research and development of advanced coatings and laminations.
This system supports doctor blade, slot die, and micro gravure coating heads, each optimized for different coating thickness ranges and slurry viscosities. The coater also offers optional drying solutions including convection heating, infrared heating, and UV curing, allowing customization based on the coating material and process requirements. Additionally, lamination and calendaring modules can be integrated to enhance film properties and coating density.

Typical Applications
Ideal for research and development of thin film coatings in battery electrode fabrication, flexible electronics, membrane coatings, and other advanced material coatings requiring precise thickness control and uniformity on flexible substrates.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The system includes a precision tension roller and alignment device to maintain stable substrate handling; these can be omitted to reduce cost if not required. The MSK-155 auto-slurry feeder is standard with doctor blade and micro gravure heads. For slot die coating, the MSK-156 slurry feeding screw pump with 4-liter tank is optional and recommended for intermittent coating modes, while the MSK-151-L500 feeder is an economical option for continuous coating.
When using a gas cylinder instead of an air compressor, a two-stage pressure regulator must be installed to ensure safe operation within the required air pressure range. The final coating thickness depends on multiple parameters including slurry viscosity, solid content, shim thickness, and coating speed, so precise thickness guarantees require detailed slurry specifications.
Optional lamination and calendaring units can be integrated for enhanced film finishing, with heatable rollers available upon request. Technical training and on-site support are offered to facilitate optimal system operation.
