YLJ-HP-10T 10-Ton Electric Mechanical Press with Dual-Zone Tungsten Carbide Heating Dies up to 550ºC for Ceramic and Composite Sintering

The YLJ-HP-10T is engineered to address the challenges of sintering ceramic materials, ceramic-polymer composites, and air-sensitive samples, particularly within controlled inert atmospheres such as gloveboxes. Its electric mechanical pressing mechanism delivers up to 10 tons of force without the need for oil lubrication, ensuring clean operation suitable for sensitive environments.

This press incorporates tungsten carbide (WC) dies with a standard inner diameter of 30 mm, heated by two independently controlled heating rings. The dual-zone heating system enables uniform temperature distribution up to a maximum of 550ºC for short durations (under 30 minutes) and 500ºC for continuous operation, facilitating precise thermal processing of samples.

Key Features

  • Electric mechanical press with a maximum pressing force of 10 tons and 35 mm stroke length.
  • Heavy-duty carbon steel construction for durability and stability.
  • Dual-zone tungsten carbide dies heated independently for uniform temperature control up to 550ºC.
  • Built-in load cell with digital display providing pressure measurement accuracy of ±0.005 tons.
  • Programmable digital control panel for setting pressure (0.1 to 10 tons) and dwell time (1 to 999 minutes).
  • Standard die inner diameter of 30 mm; optional 20 mm or 10 mm dies available upon request.
  • Designed for use inside gloveboxes with inert gases such as argon, with optional KF 40 feedthrough for external temperature control box integration.

Typical Applications

Ideal for sintering ceramic and ceramic-polymer composite pellets, especially when processing air-sensitive materials within inert atmosphere gloveboxes. Suitable for research and development in materials science and advanced ceramics manufacturing.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The press includes a standard 30 mm tungsten carbide die; smaller dies (20 mm or 10 mm ID) can be supplied upon request. When installed inside a glovebox, a KF 40 feedthrough is recommended if the temperature control unit is placed outside the glovebox, available as an optional accessory at additional cost. The system is CE certified, with optional NRTL or CSA certification available separately.
