UNIPOL-1503 Fully Automated Precision Polishing Machine with Three 4″ Workstations, Bluetooth Thickness Control, and Dual Slurry Feeders
The UNIPOL-1503 is engineered for laboratory precision polishing and grinding tasks involving small samples such as crystals, ceramics, metals, and optical materials. It accommodates up to three workstations, each capable of processing samples up to 100 mm (4 inches) in diameter simultaneously, optimizing throughput for batch sample preparation.
One workstation integrates Bluetooth-enabled thickness control technology, which continuously monitors the polishing thickness and automatically halts the process upon reaching the preset target. This feature enhances process accuracy and repeatability, critical for applications requiring tight thickness tolerances.
Key Features
- Three independent workstations with 4″ sample capacity each for parallel processing.
- Bluetooth-enabled thickness control on one station for precise, automated process stopping.
- Two slurry feeding/dripping systems for controlled application of polishing media.
- 15″ diameter lapping plate with dual materials: cast iron for lapping and aluminum for polishing pads.
- Spin speed adjustable from 0 to 120 RPM with digital display for process flexibility.
- PLC control combined with a 10″ touch screen interface for intuitive operation and monitoring.
- Swing arm with adjustable frequency up to 10 swings per minute to enhance polishing uniformity.

Typical Applications
The UNIPOL-1503 is suitable for precision polishing and grinding of a wide range of materials including crystals, ceramics, metals, glass, rock and mineral samples, printed circuit boards (PCBs), infrared optical materials, refractory materials, and composite materials. It is ideal for laboratories requiring consistent surface finish and thickness control on small to medium-sized samples.
Configuration & Operating Notes
Optional accessories include consumables for polishing, lapping, and grinding, a multi-sample polishing fixture supporting up to 3 x 8 pieces of 1″ diameter samples per batch, and a precision thickness checker with 0.001 mm resolution available as an add-on.
For optimal operation, samples should be mounted symmetrically and balanced on the loading plate, especially when processing smaller samples, to ensure machine stability. Cleaning should be performed with water only after disconnecting power; avoid oil-based or chemical cleaners and do not flood the polishing plate sink to prevent electrical damage. Motor speed should be increased gradually to avoid surge current damage, with at least 10 seconds delay between motor start/stop cycles.
