RTP-MS-AR-1 Automatic Ultrafast Heating and Pressing System with 2300°C Max Temperature and 8-Pellet Automated Loading

The RTP-MS-AR-1 system addresses the need for rapid thermal processing and pressing of pelletized samples within a controlled high vacuum environment. It is engineered to sinter and press up to eight pellets per batch automatically, significantly enhancing throughput and reproducibility in materials research and development workflows.

This system integrates a stainless steel vacuum chamber capable of reaching pressures as low as 5×10-5 torr (cold state) with an automated open/close mechanism. The heating element and graphite die assembly enable ultrafast temperature ramping at rates up to 150°C per second, reaching maximum temperatures of 2300°C. The pressing mechanism applies a programmable load up to 500 N to compact samples during sintering.

Key Features

  • High vacuum stainless steel chamber with automatic open/close and inert gas purging capability
  • Ultrafast heating up to 150°C/s with maximum temperature of 2300°C controlled by a German-made infrared pyrometer
  • Automated robotic arm system for loading, pressing, and unloading up to 8 graphite dies (pellets) per batch
  • Programmable pressing force from 1 to 500 N with ±10 N accuracy
  • Temperature control modes include manual DC regulation and PID-controlled automatic heating with 30 programmable segments
  • Integrated temperature measurement through a 35 mm observation window with ±0.5% full scale accuracy
  • Optional vacuum pumps (mechanical and turbopump) and water chiller recommended for operation

Typical Applications

This system is ideal for rapid thermal processing tasks such as flash sintering, pellet pressing, and densification of ceramic, metallic, and composite materials under controlled atmospheres. It supports research and development in advanced materials, battery electrode fabrication, and specialty ceramics.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The system includes a robotic arm for automated handling of graphite dies and pellets, a vacuum chamber with automatic open/close, and integrated temperature control hardware. Users manually load powder into graphite dies before processing; automatic powder dispensing is available as an option. A compatible water chiller is required but not included. Safety precautions for high temperature and vacuum operation should be observed. CE certification is standard; additional NRTL or CSA certifications can be obtained at extra cost.
