OTF1200XSVT25V110 Compact Vertical Split Quartz Tube Furnace with Vacuum-Sealed SS Flanges, Up to 1100ºC

The OTF1200XSVT25V110 is engineered for laboratory applications requiring controlled atmosphere heat treatment, including quenching and annealing under vacuum or flowing gases. Its vertical split design facilitates easy installation and removal of quartz tubes, enabling efficient sample processing. The furnace supports fused quartz tubes of various diameters (1″, 2″, or 2.36″), sealed with stainless steel vacuum flanges to maintain low-pressure environments during operation.

This furnace achieves temperatures up to 1100ºC with a continuous operating range of 1000ºC and a maximum heating rate of 20ºC per minute. The heating zone is 200mm long with a tightly controlled constant temperature zone of 60mm, ensuring uniform thermal treatment. A precision temperature controller offers programmable profiles with up to 30 segments for heating, cooling, and dwell times, maintaining ±1ºC accuracy. Optional upgrades include a Eurotherm 3000 controller for enhanced ±0.1ºC precision.

Key Features

  • Vertical split furnace with double-layer steel casing and air cooling for durability and energy efficiency.
  • Vacuum-sealed quartz tubes with stainless steel flanges, including vacuum gauge and valves for precise atmosphere control.
  • Programmable temperature controller with PID auto-tune, over-temperature protection, and broken thermocouple alarm.
  • Heating elements made of Mo-doped Fe-Cr-Al alloy for reliable high-temperature performance.
  • Optional accessories include 2″ flange with feedthrough port, Swagelok® fittings, KF25 adapters, vacuum gauges, and flow meters.
  • Compatible with vacuum levels down to 10-2 Torr using mechanical pumps.

Typical Applications

This furnace is suited for quenching tests, annealing, sintering, and other thermal processes requiring precise temperature control under vacuum or controlled gas atmospheres. It is commonly used in materials research, semiconductor processing, and advanced ceramics development.

Configuration & Operating Notes

Optional accessories include 2″ flanges with feedthrough ports for thermocouples or rods, Swagelok® fittings for high-pressure gas supply, KF25 adapters for improved vacuum efficiency, digital vacuum gauges, and flow meters. Safe operation requires installation of a two-stage pressure regulator to limit gas pressure below 3 PSIG. The furnace is designed for vacuum and low-pressure use; gas flow rates should be limited below 200 SCCM to prevent thermal shock to the quartz tube. Vacuum operation is safe up to 1000ºC.
