MSK-USP-5L Spray Dryer with 5L/hr Evaporation Capacity, SS316 Chambers, and PID Temperature Control up to 250ºC
MSK-USP-5L is designed for laboratory and pilot-scale spray drying tasks where precise evaporation of liquid feed into fine dry particles is required. It is particularly effective for processing heat-sensitive materials such as pharmaceuticals, nanomaterials, catalysts, fuel cell components, and battery materials. This model supports a maximum evaporation rate of 5 liters per hour, enabling efficient production of dry powders with controlled particle size distribution.
The drying process involves atomizing the liquid feed into fine droplets using a dual-channel compressed gas-assisted spray nozzle, which disperses the liquid into droplets ranging from 1 to 120 micrometers in diameter. These droplets are rapidly dried in a stainless steel 316 drying chamber with an 800 mm diameter, where heated air evaporates the solvent. The dried particles are then separated and collected with up to 95% efficiency by a cyclone collector with a 10-liter capacity. Temperature control is managed by a built-in PID controller, maintaining inlet air temperatures up to 300ºC and outlet air temperatures up to 140ºC, with a maximum working temperature of 250ºC to protect sensitive materials.
