MSK-SFM-8 Automatic Desktop Mortar Grinder with 5" Agate Mortar – Argon Glovebox Compatible
The MSK-SFM-8 Automatic Desktop Mortar Grinder is designed
for grinding and mixing small batches of chemicals, compounds, and ceramic
materials in research laboratories. Its rotating agate mortar and
height-adjustable pestle provide consistent grinding while reducing manual
preparation work.
Adjustable pestle speed, spring-controlled grinding pressure, and a digital
timer allow users to adapt the process to different samples. The removable
mortar simplifies cleaning between batches. The grinder is also suitable
for operation inside an argon-filled glovebox.

Operating Notes
-
Pre-crush larger samples before loading.
Feed particles must not exceed 2 mm. -
Do not process materials with a hardness above
Mohs 7.5. -
Do not use the grinder with
hydrofluoric acid or explosive materials. -
Increase grinding pressure gradually, adjusting the pressure control
by no more than half a turn at a time to avoid
overloading the mortar or pestle. - Wear protective equipment appropriate for the materials being processed.
- Do not heat the grinder or place it in a drying oven.
- Clean the mortar and pestle between batches to reduce cross-contamination.
