The MSK-E2300B is engineered to address the need for precise and repeatable rolling of battery electrode sheets during prototype development and pilot-scale studies. It enables researchers to condense slurry-coated electrodes consistently, improving packing density and electrode performance. This system supports electrode sheets up to 300mm wide and can process lengths up to 75 meters automatically, reducing manual intervention.
The press integrates tension-controlled feeding and winding mechanisms with a pressure-controlled electric rolling machine. Pressure is digitally controlled and displayed in real time, allowing fine adjustments up to a maximum load of 25 tons. The roller gap is adjustable between 0.05 and 1 mm with micrometer precision, ensuring uniform thickness and planeness of ±0.0025mm. The system includes a built-in rectifying sensor to maintain neat electrode foil winding after pressing.

Configuration & Operating Notes
The system requires a separate 220V AC power plug and a 60 psi compressed air supply; these are not included. For gas cylinder use instead of an air compressor, a two-stage pressure regulator must be installed to ensure safe operation within specified pressure limits. The rollers must be cleaned with acetone and dried after each use to prevent rust. Multi-step thickness calendaring is recommended, reducing thickness by 0.02 mm increments per pass. The machine is not suitable for rolling materials harder than 50 HRC. An edge position controller is pre-installed to maintain film alignment during winding. Use of the equipment in hazardous or flammable environments is strictly prohibited.
