MSK-AFA-SD200-CDH Roll-to-Roll Slot Die Coater for Continuous Multi-Layer Coating of Flexible Perovskite Solar Cells

The MSK-AFA-SD200-CDH is engineered to address the precise coating requirements of flexible perovskite solar cells, enabling continuous deposition of multiple functional layers such as electron transport layers (ETL), perovskite active layers, hole transport layers (HTL), and conductive layers. This roll-to-roll slot die coater facilitates high uniformity and repeatability in coating thin films on flexible substrates up to 180 mm wide, optimizing production efficiency for advanced photovoltaic devices.

The system operates with a servo motor driving steel rollers of 80 mm diameter, supporting coating speeds from 0.1 to 2 meters per minute. The slot die assembly allows single-layer coating with adjustable widths between 50 and 160 mm by changing shims, accommodating various layer dimensions. Wet film thickness for perovskite solar cell layers is controlled between 30 and 50 micrometers, with flexibility to extend up to 500 micrometers for other coating applications. Temperature-controlled convection ovens provide drying capabilities up to 130°C, ensuring proper film formation.

Typical Applications

This coater is specifically tailored for the fabrication of flexible perovskite solar cells, enabling precise layering of electron transport, perovskite, hole transport, and conductive films. It is also suitable for other thin-film coating applications requiring controlled wet film thickness and continuous roll-to-roll processing.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The system includes one set of slot die shims with customer-specified open mouth dimensions. Pneumatic sliding and manual adjustments facilitate precise slot die positioning. Four syringe pumps provide controlled fluid delivery for each coating layer. Operators should ensure proper tension control and substrate alignment to maintain coating uniformity. Electrical heating and convection airflow in ovens must be monitored to avoid overheating sensitive materials.
