KSL1700X80AC Atmosphere-Controlled Muffle Furnace with 80L Chamber, Up to 1700°C
The KSL1700X80AC is engineered for laboratory applications requiring controlled atmosphere heat treatment of materials at elevated temperatures. Its design supports processing under inert gases, oxygen, or vacuum environments, enabling precise thermal conditioning for research and development or quality control tasks.
This furnace incorporates a robust steel heating chamber measuring 410 mm by 410 mm by 500 mm, providing an 80-liter volume suitable for sizable samples or batch processing. The chamber is insulated with 1800-grade fibrous alumina bricks to maintain thermal efficiency and stability. Heating is delivered by eight molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) elements, capable of continuous operation up to 1700°C in air and slightly lower maximum temperatures under inert or vacuum conditions.

It supports processes requiring precise temperature profiles and atmosphere control such as material research, semiconductor fabrication, and advanced ceramics development.
Configuration & Operating Notes
Optional accessories include a rotary vane vacuum pump (240 L/min) and an upgraded Eurotherm 3000 series temperature controller for enhanced stability. Users should ensure continuous water cooling to protect the furnace front seal. To minimize oxygen presence in the chamber, additional retort boxes made of molybdenum alloy or graphite felt insulation can be employed. Consultation with technical support is recommended for specific vacuum level requirements.
