GSL-800-L High Vacuum and Pressure Chamber Furnace with 800°C Max Temperature and 3.5 Bar Pressure Capacity

The GSL-800-L furnace is engineered for precise thermal processing tasks requiring both high vacuum and elevated pressure environments. It is particularly suited for heat treatment of materials such as high-pressure oxygen environment superconductors (e.g., YBCO), where controlled atmosphere and temperature uniformity are critical. The furnace’s design supports vacuum sintering and pressure-assisted treatments up to 3.5 bar absolute pressure.

Constructed with a 310S stainless steel chamber, the GSL-800-L maintains a cleanliness level up to Class 100, ensuring minimal contamination during processing. The chamber provides a cubic usable space of 500 mm per side within a larger 720 mm by 900 mm deep volume. External heating elements and multiple temperature monitoring points enable uniform temperature distribution and precise control up to 800°C.

Key Features

  • High vacuum capability down to 10-5 torr using a turbopump and mechanical pump system.
  • Maximum working pressure up to 0.35 MPa (3.5 bar) with automatic pressure maintenance and overpressure relief.
  • Four heating zones including three circular and one bottom zone for temperature uniformity ±10°C.
  • Seven K-type thermocouples for precise temperature monitoring inside and outside the chamber.
  • Integrated mass flow meter and electromagnetic needle valves for controlled gas intake and exhaust.
  • PID-based Eurotherm EPC3000 temperature controller with 24-segment programmable control and PC communication.
  • Touchscreen interface for real-time monitoring and data logging of temperature, pressure, and vacuum levels.

Typical Applications

The GSL-800-L is ideal for vacuum sintering, heat treatment of superconducting materials under high-pressure oxygen atmospheres, and other processes requiring precise temperature and pressure control in a clean environment. It supports research and production tasks in materials science, electronics, and advanced ceramics.

Configuration & Operating Notes

Optional accessories include a water chiller unit for temperature stabilization and vacuum pumps (mechanical and turbopump) to achieve desired vacuum levels. The furnace incorporates safety features such as pressure sensors and electromagnetic pressure relief valves for automatic pressure regulation and overpressure protection. Operators should ensure proper connection of gas lines and monitor system parameters via the touchscreen interface during operation.
