GSL-1700X-S60HG High-Temperature Hydrogen Gas Tube Furnace with 60mm Alumina Tube and Integrated Hydrogen Detection
The GSL-1700X-S60HG is engineered for precise thermal processing of materials in a controlled hydrogen atmosphere, reaching temperatures as high as 1700°C for short durations. It is ideal for applications requiring a stable and safe environment for hydrogen gas treatments, including research and development in materials science and chemical processing.
This tube furnace incorporates a 60 mm outer diameter high-purity alumina tube, providing excellent thermal and chemical resistance. The system integrates a Honeywell UL-approved hydrogen gas detector linked to a solenoid valve that automatically shuts off hydrogen supply upon detecting hazardous concentrations, ensuring operational safety. The furnace is designed for installation under a suitable fume hood with appropriate gas handling protocols.

Typical Applications
The furnace is suited for hydrogen atmosphere annealing, sintering, and reduction processes in materials research, semiconductor fabrication, and chemical synthesis. It supports inert gas and oxygen atmospheres for versatile thermal treatments.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The furnace requires installation under a certified fume hood with appropriate gas handling safety measures. A two-stage pressure regulator must limit gas supply pressure below 3 PSI. The included fibrous ceramic tube blocks must be fully inserted before heating to reduce heat radiation. Optional quartz tube blocks and additional tube supports are available for enhanced vacuum performance and mechanical stability. The hydrogen exhaust must be safely ignited using the supplied long-neck safety lighter following validated procedures. Optional advanced temperature controllers and software packages support remote monitoring and control.
