GSL-1500X-MGI-4 Four-Channel 1500°C Tube Furnace with 50mm Alumina Tubes for High-Throughput Annealing
The GSL-1500X-MGI-4 is engineered to facilitate high-throughput thermal processing of alloy and ceramic materials, enabling researchers to conduct multiple annealing experiments simultaneously within a compact footprint. This furnace is particularly suited for phase diagram studies and advanced material research requiring precise temperature control up to 1500°C.
Each of the four independent heating modules incorporates a high-purity alumina tube with an outer diameter of 50 mm and length of 460 mm, allowing separate temperature profiles for each sample. The system supports vacuum and controlled gas atmospheres through quick-seal KF25 flanges, integrated vacuum gauges, and flowmeters, enabling versatile processing conditions.
Key Features
- Four independent heating channels with MoSi2 heating elements, each controlled up to 1500°C.
- High purity alumina tubes (Ø50 mm x 460 mm) for stable and uniform heating zones.
- Programmable Eurotherm 3000 Series controllers with 24-segment temperature profiles per channel.
- Vacuum capability down to 10-5 torr via a single turbopump connection and KF25 flange system.
- Integrated vacuum gauges, flowmeters, and needle valves for precise atmosphere control.
- Temperature accuracy of ±0.5°C and uniformity within ±10°C over a 120 mm zone at 1300°C.

Configuration & Operating Notes
The furnace includes four alumina tubes, four flowmeters, quick-seal KF25 flanges with mechanical vacuum gauges, and needle valves. A single vacuum pump can be connected via the KF25 port to achieve high vacuum conditions. Users must install a pressure regulator on gas tanks to prevent exceeding the maximum pressure of 7.5 PSI (0.5 atm). The power cable is supplied without a plug; users should install a compatible plug according to local standards. Optional modifications for larger chemical vapor deposition (CVD) systems with gas delivery are available upon consultation.
