GSL-1200X-MH100 Tube Furnace for High Magnetic Field Applications with 1100°C Max Temperature and 100 mm Bore

The GSL-1200X-MH100 tube furnace is engineered specifically for experiments requiring simultaneous high temperatures and strong magnetic fields exceeding 10 Tesla. It enables precise thermal processing of samples within a controlled atmosphere, making it suitable for advanced material property research under these combined conditions.

This furnace features a quartz processing tube with an outer diameter of 30 mm and an inner diameter of 25 mm, extending 1000 mm in length. The heating zone spans 750 mm with a uniform temperature zone of 250 mm at ±5 °C, allowing consistent sample treatment. The system supports continuous operation up to 1100°C with a heating rate up to 10 °C per minute.

Key Features

  • Maximum working temperature of 1100°C with continuous operation capability.
  • Dual spiral-wound molybdenum resistance wire heating elements designed to minimize Lorentz forces under high magnetic fields.
  • Non-magnetic SS316 austenitic stainless steel furnace casing with water cooling to maintain surface temperature below 25°C.
  • PID programmable temperature controller (Eutothermo-3000) with 50 programmable segments and ±0.1 °C accuracy.
  • 10 kW DC programmable power supply with regulated output from 0 to 24 VDC.
  • Minimum magnet bore diameter of 100 mm to accommodate high magnetic field environments.
  • Hermetic operation enabled by SS316 flanges and 1/4″ compression tube fittings for gas inlet and outlet.

Typical Applications

This tube furnace is ideal for research involving material characterization and processing under combined high temperature and strong magnetic fields, such as magnetic property studies, phase transitions, and synthesis of magnetic materials.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The furnace includes a quartz processing tube and SS316 flanges for hermetic sealing. Operation requires an inert gas atmosphere to protect the molybdenum heating elements. Water cooling is mandatory to maintain safe surface temperatures. An optional vacuum pump can be added to evacuate residual air, achieving pressures down to 50 mtorr. Remote communication is supported via RS-485 interface for integration with external control systems.
