MSK-160E Digital Pressure Controlled Electric Crimper for CR20XX Coin Cells with Ar-Compatible KF40 Feedthrough and 100-Pair Coin Case
The MSK-160E is engineered to provide consistent and precise crimping of various CR20XX coin cells, including CR2016, CR2025, CR2032, and CR2450 sizes. This electric crimper is specifically designed for use within inert atmosphere glove boxes, such as argon environments, which are essential for advanced battery research involving lithium-sulfur, lithium metal-air, and lithium half-cell configurations. Its compact footprint allows easy transfer through glove box airlocks, facilitating flexible lab workflows.
Equipped with a 24V DC motor and a precision load sensor, the MSK-160E maintains a digitally controlled crimping pressure with an accuracy of ±0.05% full scale, adjustable up to 1.35 tons (1350 kgf). The included KF40 feedthrough power extension cable enables safe operation by keeping the 24V power adapter outside the argon atmosphere, preventing electrical arcing risks. The crimper outputs a consistent outer diameter increase of approximately 0.15 mm after crimping, ensuring reliable sealing of coin cell cases.

대표적인 적용 분야
The MSK-160E is ideal for research and development laboratories focused on lithium-based battery technologies requiring precise assembly of coin cells under inert atmospheres. It supports Li-S, Li metal-air, and lithium half-cell testing by enabling consistent sealing pressure within argon glove boxes. Its compact design suits labs with limited space and glove box airlock constraints.
구성 및 작동 안내
The standard package includes one hardened steel die set for CR2016, CR2025, and CR2032 coin cells and 100 MTI CR2032 coin cases. Optional crimping and de-crimping die sets, including specialized dies for 3-electrode coin cells, are available separately. Users can adjust the die gap via a screw to accommodate different case thicknesses.
To prevent damage to the PTFE top die, avoid overtightening the pressure adjustment knob. Proper pressure setting involves loosening the knob fully to release spring compression, then tightening until spring compression is just felt. After each use, clean the die set with alcohol to prevent corrosion from electrolyte residues. Use only MTI brand coin cell cases to ensure crimping quality.
