The KSL-1800X-KA is designed for laboratories requiring reliable ultra-high temperature processing within a compact footprint. Its 3.6-liter cubic chamber (6 x 6 x 6 inches) accommodates a variety of sample sizes for applications such as material sintering, heat treatment, and ceramic firing. This furnace supports short-term operation up to 1800°C and continuous use at 1750°C, making it suitable for demanding thermal workflows.
Heating is achieved through four Kanthal Super-1900 grade molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) elements, known for their durability and high-temperature stability. The furnace structure features a double steel shell with an integrated cooling fan to maintain a safe external surface temperature. Internally, high purity alumina fiber insulation and a zirconia ceramic liner provide excellent thermal efficiency and protect the chamber, which can withstand temperatures up to 2200°C. The unit includes a Eurotherm 3000 Series programmable temperature controller offering precise temperature accuracy of ±0.1°C and flexible ramp, dwell, and cooling programming.
