This system is particularly suited for oxide film deposition such as Al2O3, ZnO, and complex solid solutions like ZnO-MgO and ZrO2-Y2O3 on materials including amorphous silica and nickel-based superalloys.
The equipment employs flame-assisted spray pyrolysis, where the atomized solution is heated by an oxy-LPG flame before deposition. The flame size and intensity are manually controlled via integrated gas flow meters and ignition systems. The substrate rests on a 175 mm by 175 mm heating plate capable of reaching temperatures up to 500°C, mounted on a motorized XY platform that moves the substrate to ensure uniform coating coverage. The solution dispensing rate and substrate motion are controlled through dedicated software on a connected computer.
