This system integrates a rotatable 5-inch diameter quartz processing tube equipped with four internal mixing blades to ensure efficient milling and mixing of powders. The tube rotates at variable speeds from 0 to 10 RPM, digitally controlled and displayed, allowing precise control over milling intensity. Ammonia gas or other reactive gases can be introduced through the tube to facilitate nitriding reactions during milling. The furnace features two independently controlled heating zones totaling 280 mm in length, providing a stable constant temperature zone of 100 mm with ±2°C accuracy when both zones are set identically.

The system includes one pair of rotary inline gas fittings with magnetic fluid seals and flange connections, requiring 1/4″ tubing for gas supply. The temperature controller is remotely located for safety and convenience.
