IMCS-2000 Induction Melting-Casting Furnace with Stainless Steel Vacuum Chamber, 1750°C Max, 1200g Steel Capacity

The furnace integrates a rocker arm mechanism to rotate the crucible, facilitating efficient drop casting. A quartz observation window allows visual monitoring of the melting process. The chamber can be optionally water-cooled to extend continuous melting durations beyond 30 minutes and to support higher temperatures up to 2000°C with smaller crucibles. The system includes ports for vacuum pumping and gas inlet/outlet, ensuring flexible atmosphere control.

Key Features

  • Stainless steel vacuum chamber (Ø315 mm × 315 mm H) with quartz observation window
  • 15 kVA induction heating system (30-80 kHz) with two induction coils for flexible sample sizes
  • Rocker arm for crucible rotation enabling drop casting
  • Vacuum and gas ports compatible with turbo and roughing pumps for controlled atmosphere processing
  • Optional water-cooled chamber for extended melting times and higher temperature operation
  • Optional accessories include various crucible liners (BN, alumina, YSZ), graphite casting molds, temperature controllers, and secondary material feeders

Typical Applications

The IMCS-2000 is suitable for melting and casting ferrous alloys and other metals requiring high-temperature processing under controlled atmospheres. It supports research and development tasks in metallurgy, materials science, and alloy development where contamination-free melting and precise temperature control are critical.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The standard package includes two graphite crucibles and two induction coils. Optional accessories such as BN and alumina crucible liners, YSZ crucibles, various graphite casting molds, temperature controllers with PID control, secondary material feeders, and mechanical stirring units are available to customize the system for specific experimental needs.

Water cooling is recommended for extended melting durations and higher temperature operations but is not included; compatible water chillers such as the KJ6200 are suggested. Vacuum pumps and pressure gauges are optional and can be integrated for enhanced atmosphere control. Operators should ensure proper vacuum and gas handling protocols to maintain system integrity and safety.
