VTF-1700X-AD-J Atmosphere-Controlled Bottom-Loading Melting Furnace with Stirring and Secondary Charge Feeding, Up to 1700°C
The VTF-1700X-AD-J is engineered for precise melting of specialty glass and novel alloy materials requiring controlled atmospheres up to 1700°C. Its bottom-loading design accommodates heavy loads up to 100 kg within an 8-liter chamber, facilitating efficient handling of crucibles and samples. This furnace integrates stirring and secondary charge feeding capabilities, enabling uniform melt composition and in-process doping during high-temperature operations.
Temperature control is achieved via six replaceable MoSi2 heating elements, supporting a working range from 600°C to 1700°C in air or oxygen environments, with a reduced range of 1000°C to 1600°C under inert gases. The system maintains a vacuum level around 500 torr at elevated temperatures, suitable for atmosphere-sensitive processes though not for high vacuum applications. The furnace’s airtight double-layer steel casing, combined with water-cooled front door and air-cooled shell, ensures stable atmosphere control and thermal management.

Typische Anwendungsbereiche
This furnace is ideal for melting and processing specialty glasses, advanced alloys, and materials requiring precise atmosphere control and doping during melting. It suits research and development labs focused on new material synthesis, glass formulation, and alloy development under controlled atmospheres.
Hinweise zur Konfiguration und zum Betrieb
The furnace includes a built-in PC for temperature and pressure control, with programmable temperature segments and safety alarms. The stirring fixture is liftable and fitted with blades made from boron nitride or alumina. A secondary charge feeder allows addition of up to three doping elements during melting. A vacuum pump and gas flow meters enable atmosphere purging and pressure regulation. A recirculating water cooling system (58 L/min) is required but not included to cool the sealing flange and chamber case.
Note that the furnace is not designed for high vacuum applications; vacuum levels are limited to about 500 torr at high temperature. Use of 5% H2 + Ar gas mixtures can improve oxidation control. For oxygen-sensitive materials, a hydrogen furnace is recommended.
