The UNIPOL-1500-S16 is engineered to streamline the preparation of metallographic samples, particularly suited for alloy research requiring high throughput. It accommodates simultaneous polishing of up to 16 samples, each with a maximum diameter of 25 mm (1 inch), enabling efficient batch processing in laboratories focused on metals, ceramics, crystals, glass, refractory materials, rocks, and polymers.
This automatic polisher operates with a pressure-controlled mechanism where the top sample holders press against a large 15-inch diameter lapping plate. Users can precisely adjust pressing force within a range of 0.5 to 20 kgf and set polishing durations via a color touch screen interface. Both the rotation speeds of the sample holders and the polishing plate are independently adjustable to optimize polishing conditions for diverse materials.

Consumables such as sandpaper discs, polishing pads, magnetic and buffer steel plates, and diamond polishing pastes are available separately. Users should ensure proper mounting of samples and follow safety guidelines when operating the machine. The unit is CE certified; however, NRTL certification is not currently available.
