SP-MSMVC8 8-Station Automated Arc Melting System with Vacuum Casting and Glovebox for High-Throughput Metallurgical Research

The SP-MSMVC8 is engineered to facilitate high-throughput arc melting and vacuum casting experiments, enabling simultaneous processing of up to eight samples with individual control. This system is particularly suited for metallurgical research requiring precise melting and casting under ultra-clean, controlled atmospheres. The integrated glovebox environment maintains oxygen and moisture levels below 1 ppm, ensuring sample integrity during processing.

Wichtigste Merkmale

  • Eight independent vacuum casting stations with individual solenoid valve control for precise casting under vacuum.
  • Water-cooled copper hearth with eight identical cavities (Ø50 mm × 10 mm) and casting molds up to Ø8 × 75 mm.
  • Glovebox environment with HEPA filtration and ultra-low H2O and O2 levels (<1 ppm) for contamination-free processing.
  • Three-axis CNC positioning with touchscreen interface for programmable melting parameters and rasterizing electrode movement.
  • Water-cooled 6 mm ceriated tungsten electrode and handheld arc melting wand with 3.85 mm electrode for manual operation.
  • Ceramic grids, quartz rings, and volatile vapor traps to prevent cross-contamination between samples.
  • Arc melting power supply delivering up to 630 A at 480 VAC, 3-phase, 50/60 Hz (400 VAC option available).

Typische Anwendungsbereiche

This system is ideal for metallurgical research involving alloy development, phase studies, and casting of reactive or sensitive materials requiring contamination-free environments. It supports autonomous processing of multiple samples for rapid experimental throughput in materials science laboratories.

Hinweise zur Konfiguration und zum Betrieb

The system requires a recirculating water chiller (e.g., KJ-5300) for copper hearth cooling, which is not included. It operates with high-purity inert gas and a hydrogen-inert gas mixture. Regular regeneration of glovebox purification is necessary to maintain low moisture and oxygen levels. The tungsten electrode must not contact the sample or copper hearth during melting to avoid damage. Operators should wear tinted goggles and handle samples only after cooling. Use of corrosive gases is prohibited to protect sensors and system components.
