GBF1700RHP4 Hot Pellet Press with Rapid Inductive Heating to 1600°C and 100 MPa Pressure in Glovebox Environment
The GBF1700RHP4 is engineered for pressing pellets at elevated temperatures up to 1600°C within a controlled glovebox atmosphere, ideal for sensitive materials requiring inert conditions. This system integrates a rapid inductive heating method that raises sample temperature at approximately 1°C per second, enabling efficient thermal processing combined with precise mechanical pressing.
The pressing force is delivered by a 5-ton motorized electric press capable of applying up to 100 MPa pressure through a 1/2″ graphite pellet pressing die. The entire process occurs inside a glovebox maintaining oxygen and moisture levels below 1 ppm, using high-purity nitrogen or argon gas to ensure sample integrity. After heating and pressing, rapid cooling is achieved by water-cooled copper clamps that directly contact the graphite die, allowing cooling rates up to 10°C per second.

Typical Applications
This hot pellet press is suited for advanced material synthesis requiring high-temperature densification under inert atmosphere, such as ceramic, electronic, and battery material research. It is ideal for pressing sensitive powders into dense pellets while minimizing contamination and oxidation.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The system includes all necessary feedthroughs for power, thermocouples, induction coils, and communication lines integrated into the glovebox. Water cooling is mandatory for the induction coils, copper clamps, and glovebox circulation; appropriate chillers (KJ5300 for short-term or KJ6200 for long-term operation) are recommended but sold separately. On-site installation is required for both the glovebox and hot press components. Safety precautions should be observed when handling high temperatures and pressures within the inert atmosphere.
