SP-MSM130 Mini Arc Melting Furnace with Optional Vacuum Casting, Glovebox Compatible for Air-Sensitive Materials
The SP-MSM130 is engineered to facilitate the melting of air-sensitive alloys and refractory metal tube seals within controlled atmospheres, such as argon gloveboxes. Its compact design allows placement inside standard gloveboxes equipped with purification systems, enabling safe handling of materials prone to oxidation. This furnace supports melting tasks requiring high temperatures up to 3500ºC and is suitable for small sample sizes, making it ideal for research and development in advanced materials.
Key Features
- Central tube holder adjustable for refractory metal tubes Ø3–16 mm diameter and 30–90 mm length.
- Quartz chamber (OD 180 mm, ID 168 mm, height 150 mm) with vacuum-sealed flange and metal shield case for external use.
- Tungsten electrode gun with Ø4 mm electrode, no water cooling, and adjustable tilt and height (up to 30 mm).
- Power supply up to 185 A, 208–240 VAC single phase, max 4000 W at 240 V.
- Optional vacuum casting module for 4 mm diameter rods with suction casting to reduce shrinkage defects.
- Glovebox-compatible design with feedthroughs for vacuum, gas, electrical, and water connections.
