MSK-H2300-E Electric Hot Rolling Press with 300mm Wide Rollers, 200°C Max Temperature and 15T Pressure Control
The MSK-H2300-E is engineered for laboratory-scale hot rolling applications requiring precise control of temperature and pressure. It is especially suited for processing delicate materials such as battery electrodes, plastic films, soft metals, and composite foils where uniform density and surface quality are critical. The press uses electrically heated rollers with a maximum working temperature of 200°C, enabling controlled thermal treatment during calendaring.
This model incorporates a patented electrical heating system with rollers hardened to HRC 60-62, ensuring minimal hardness loss under heat. The rollers are 300 mm wide and 200 mm in diameter, providing a broad working area. Pressure is regulated hydraulically with a maximum load of 15 tons, adjustable via a touchscreen interface that also controls rolling speed, temperature, and logs operational data. Thickness adjustments are motorized with stepper motors, allowing fine control from 0.03 to 1.5 mm depending on material properties.

Typical Applications
The MSK-H2300-E is ideal for laboratory and pilot-scale calendaring of battery electrodes, plastic films, soft metal sheets, and composite foils. It enhances material density and surface finish by applying controlled heat and pressure. It is not suitable for rolling materials harder than 50 HRC or thick metals.
Configuration & Operating Notes
- The optional MSK-E2300RD Roll-to-Roll system can be integrated for continuous sheet unwinding, calendaring, and rewinding.
- Roller surfaces must be cleaned with acetone after each use to prevent contamination.
- Do not roll materials with hardness exceeding 50 HRC to avoid damage.
- Apply anti-rust lubricant on rollers if the machine will be idle for extended periods.
- Multi-step thickness reduction is recommended, with each pass decrement not exceeding 0.02 mm relative to original thickness.
- Heating above 200°C may deform rollers and reduce performance; regular lubrication of roller bearings is advised.
- Do not touch rollers during operation or when heated to avoid injury.
- Temperature calibration with a TC-calibrator is recommended to ensure accuracy.
- The machine is not certified for use in hazardous or flammable environments.
