OTF-1200X-HP-III-80-GF Three-Zone High-Pressure Tube Furnace with Gas Flow Control
The OTF-1200X-HP-III-80-GF furnace is engineered for advanced laboratory applications requiring precise high-pressure and high-temperature environments. It is particularly suited for processing iron-based superconducting materials, advanced oxide ceramics, and compact hot isostatic pressing (HIP) research. The system supports controlled atmospheres of oxygen or inert gases with integrated gas flow management to ensure process stability and safety.
This split-type tube furnace incorporates three independently controlled heating zones, each 150 mm in length, providing a total heating zone of 450 mm with a 300 mm constant temperature region. The pressure vessel is constructed from GH747 nickel-based superalloy, offering excellent mechanical strength and thermal stability under high-pressure conditions. The vessel has an 85 mm outer diameter, 50 mm inner diameter, and 1000 mm length, enclosed within a steel safety frame to contain flange assemblies in case of failure.

Typical Applications
This furnace is ideal for research on iron-based superconductors, advanced oxide ceramics, and compact hot isostatic pressing processes. It is also applicable for hydroretorting of oil shale and other high-pressure, high-temperature material synthesis or treatment requiring controlled gas atmospheres.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The system includes a steel safety frame to contain the pressure vessel and flange assembly. Users must never place samples directly inside the vessel without a crucible or isolation foil to prevent chemical reactions with the vessel alloy. The furnace must not be operated above 1100°C, and pressure limits must be strictly observed as temperature increases.
Hydrogen and flammable gases are strictly prohibited. A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on gas cylinders to limit supply pressure below 3 PSI. Optional accessories include a torque wrench for flange bolts, alumina testing fixtures, and high-pressure electrical feedthroughs for advanced electrical property measurements under high-pressure conditions.
