YLJ-CIP-20B Cold Isostatic Press with 30mm Diameter Vessel, 330 MPa Max Pressure, 24T Manual Hydraulic Press
The YLJ-CIP-20B is engineered to facilitate the preparation of high-density compound samples, particularly useful in material research laboratories focusing on precise sample compaction. Its compact design allows it to be conveniently placed inside glove boxes, enabling the processing of air-sensitive materials without exposure to ambient conditions.
This cold isostatic press employs a 30mm internal diameter pressure vessel constructed from ultra-strength alloy with a stainless steel protective jacket, ensuring durability and safety under high pressures. The vessel accommodates samples up to 60mm in height within a 110mm tall pressing cavity. The press applies isostatic hydraulic pressure up to 330 MPa, achieved through a 24-ton manual hydraulic press with a separated manual pump for enhanced operational safety.

Typical Applications
This press is ideal for preparing dense pellets and compound samples in material science research, including targets for pulsed laser deposition (PLD) with a diameter of approximately 1 inch. Its ability to operate within a glove box makes it suitable for handling air-sensitive materials requiring controlled atmospheres.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The standard package includes the 24-ton manual hydraulic press, one set of CIP pressing dies, a seal kit, three black rubber O-rings (30mm outer diameter), pressing oil, and a hex-socket wrench for die assembly and degassing. A plastic protection cover is provided for safety.
Users should avoid holding the maximum pressure for longer than one hour and must fully release pressure before loosening the hand wheel or pressure release valve. The bottom cylinder (piston) should not be raised beyond its 20mm maximum travel distance to prevent damage. Optional accessories include spare CIP dies and an electric pump with programmable pressure control, available at additional cost.
For optimal sample density, pre-pressing pellets before cold isostatic pressing is recommended. Sealing samples with liquid rubber or vacuum sealing chambers prior to pressing can improve results.
