KSL-1200X-J-Q Vertical Sliding Lab Furnace with 1200°C Max, Fast Heating/Cooling and Vacuum Tube Capability

The KSL-1200X-J-Q furnace is engineered for laboratory applications requiring precise thermal treatment up to 1200°C. It features a vertical sliding mechanism that enables rapid insertion and removal of samples within a sealed quartz tube, facilitating fast heating and cooling cycles essential for quenching and controlled atmosphere processing.

This multi-functional furnace operates as a box furnace with a spacious heating chamber measuring 150mm diameter by 155mm width and 180mm height (6″x6″x7″), and can be converted into a vacuum tube furnace by inserting quartz tubes of 2″ or 3.1″ outer diameter. The vacuum-sealed tubes are equipped with KF16 flanges for vacuum gauge connection and gas inlet ports, allowing treatment under high vacuum or inert gas environments.

Key Features

  • Maximum operating temperature of 1200°C in air or inert gas; up to 1000°C under vacuum conditions.
  • Vertical sliding mechanism for fast insertion and extraction of vacuum-sealed quartz tubes, enabling rapid thermal cycling (~1°C/s heating and cooling rates).
  • Heating chamber capacity of 4.2 liters with dimensions suitable for various sample sizes.
  • Digital PID temperature controller with auto-tune, 30 programmable segments, and ±1°C temperature stability.
  • Supports 2″ (50mm OD) and 3.1″ (80mm OD) quartz tubes with KF16 flange for vacuum and gas connections.
  • Includes gas inlet and needle valve for controlled atmosphere processing.
  • 208-240V single-phase power supply with 2.5 kW heating power; power cable included without plug.

Typical Applications

Ideal for rapid thermal processing, material annealing, sintering, quenching, and vacuum or controlled atmosphere treatments in research laboratories. Suitable for semiconductor, materials science, and chemical synthesis applications requiring precise temperature control and fast thermal cycling.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The furnace includes the digital temperature controller and power cable (without plug). Users must install a compatible plug based on local standards or select from optional plugs. Quartz tubes and vacuum accessories such as vacuum valves, gauges, bellows, and pumps are available separately. The vertical sliding mechanism facilitates rapid sample insertion and removal for efficient thermal cycling. Proper handling and safety precautions should be observed when operating at high temperatures and under vacuum conditions.
