MSK-AFA-H200A Tape Casting Coater with Heated Vacuum Bed up to 250°C and Adjustable Doctor Blade

The MSK-AFA-H200A is engineered for laboratory applications requiring uniform high-temperature coatings of polymers or conductive ceramic films on various substrates. It addresses the challenge of achieving precise film thickness and temperature control during tape casting processes, essential for research and development in materials science and electronics.

This coater integrates a vacuum chuck hotplate made from aluminum alloy with micro-sized holes, providing a vacuum hold area of 400 mm by 250 mm. The heating elements embedded within the chuck enable stable temperatures up to 250°C, controlled digitally with ±1°C accuracy. The coating area measures 300 mm by 200 mm, suitable for medium-scale sample preparation.

Key Features

  • Heated vacuum platform with precise temperature control up to 250°C for stable film formation.
  • Vacuum chuck with micro-holes ensures secure substrate fixation during coating.
  • 180 mm wide film applicator equipped with micrometer adjustment for coating thickness accuracy ±0.01 mm.
  • Variable traverse speed from 1 to 90 mm/sec and adjustable travel distance up to 300 mm.
  • Active carbon filter and venting fan integrated in the top cover to remove organic vapors and maintain a clean lab environment.
  • 24VDC motor drive compatible with inert atmosphere glovebox operation.
  • Optional hybrid film applicator combining doctor blade and slot die available for specialized coating needs.
