FMF-65 Vacuum Levitation Melting Furnace with 65KW Induction Heater, 1800ºC Max, 250g Ti Capacity, Turbo Pump
The FMF-65 is engineered to support research and development of next-generation magnetic alloys by enabling high-purity melting processes under vacuum or controlled gas atmospheres. It addresses challenges of contamination and inhomogeneity by employing a cold crucible levitation melting technique that suspends the metallic sample without direct contact, thus eliminating crucible contamination risks common with refractory materials.
This system uses a 65KW induction heater operating at 20-50 kHz frequency to heat metallic samples up to 1800ºC. The copper cold crucible, segmented into 16 water-cooled parts, provides efficient cooling and supports sample masses up to 250 grams for titanium and 140 grams for iron. The strong electromagnetic field not only levitates the sample but also induces stirring within the melt, promoting excellent thermal and chemical uniformity.

대표적인 적용 분야
Ideal for research on magnetic and advanced alloys requiring high-purity melting without contamination. Suitable for melting titanium, iron, and other metals under vacuum or inert gas atmospheres. Used in materials science labs focusing on alloy development and thermal homogenization studies.
구성 및 작동 안내
The system requires an external water supply or chiller with a flow rate exceeding 100 L/min for effective cooling. High purity inert gas (5N) with a pressure regulator is necessary for controlled atmosphere operation; gas pressure must be maintained below 3 PSI to avoid chamber damage. Optional accessories include a vacuum charger port and a tiltable coil/crucible assembly for casting into water-cooled molds.
Operators must be trained in vacuum melting and inert gas handling procedures. Continuous monitoring of chamber pressure is essential to prevent equipment damage or safety hazards. The system includes Pirani and Ion gauges for vacuum measurement and a quartz observation window with tinted glass for safe visual inspection during melting.
