This system features a 600 mL PTFE inner jar housed within a liquid nitrogen cooling jacket and an outer vacuum insulation layer. The cooling jacket can hold up to 1.5 liters of liquid nitrogen, enabling the jar to be rotated at temperatures near that of liquid nitrogen. The vacuum insulation minimizes thermal radiation, enhancing temperature stability during milling. The jar is driven by two 185 mm diameter wheels positioned at each end, compatible with rolling mills having 150 to 185 mm open spacing between rollers.
