PTLHT Programmable Dip Coater with 2-Inch Tube Furnace and Atmosphere Control
The PTLHT is engineered to facilitate precise thin film deposition and crystal growth processes in research environments. It enables the preparation of optical and epitaxial films by dipping substrates into liquid solutions within a sealed 2-inch quartz tube furnace. The system supports controlled temperature and atmosphere conditions, essential for achieving high-quality coatings and epitaxial layers.
This equipment integrates a programmable dip coater with a tube furnace capable of reaching continuous operating temperatures up to 1100°C. The sample is mounted on a stainless steel wire and passes through a hot zone under various gas atmospheres or vacuum. The dipping and pulling speeds, as well as dwell times at constant temperature zones, are adjustable via a color touch screen controller, allowing fine control over film growth parameters.

Typische Anwendungsbereiche
This system is ideal for research and development of optical coatings, epitaxial film growth, and crystal growth processes requiring precise atmosphere and temperature control. It supports experiments such as thin film deposition from liquid solutions and Bridgman crystal growth methods when modified accordingly.
Hinweise zur Konfiguration und zum Betrieb
The standard package includes the dip coater, a 2″ quartz tube furnace with flanges, LCD programmable controller, three stainless steel pulling wires rated for 800°C, beakers, a high-temperature alloy sample holder pre-installed, power cord, and screwdriver. Optional accessories include higher temperature pulling wires (Ni-Cr-Al or platinum), laptop with LabVIEW-based temperature control software, and wireless remote control for extended operation range.
Users should note the maximum dip coating temperature is limited by the pulling wire material; stainless steel wires are rated up to 800°C, while higher temperature wires are available at extra cost. The furnace can be adapted for Bridgman vertical crystal growth applications. Proper substrate preparation, such as plasma cleaning and ultrasonic dispersion of coating solutions, is recommended for optimal film quality.
