GSL1700X 1700°C Tube Furnace with 18″ Heated Zone and 60 or 80 mm OD Alumina Tube and Flange
The GSL1700X tube furnace is engineered for laboratory applications requiring precise high-temperature processing of material samples, including sintering under vacuum or controlled gas environments. Its design accommodates research workflows that demand stable temperature control up to 1700°C, enabling advanced material synthesis and testing.
This bench-top furnace incorporates an 18-inch (457 mm) heated zone with a constant temperature region of 6 inches (150 mm), providing uniform heat distribution. The furnace chamber includes a high-purity alumina refractory lining and a consumable alumina tube available in two outer diameters: 60 mm and 80 mm. The tube furnace supports vacuum and low-pressure gas atmospheres, with integrated sealing flanges and vacuum fittings for immediate use.

Typische Anwendungsbereiche
Ideal for sintering new material samples, thermal treatments, and chemical research under controlled atmospheres or vacuum conditions. Commonly used in materials science, ceramics, semiconductor research, and advanced chemical synthesis.
Hinweise zur Konfiguration und zum Betrieb
The furnace includes a set of sealing flanges with double silicone O-rings, two stainless steel needle valves, and a dial vacuum gauge installed on the flanges for immediate vacuum or gas operation. Standard fittings are 1/4″ barbed hose connectors; optional Swagelok® tube fittings and KF25 adapters are available to enhance vacuum performance and gas supply control.
Vacuum operation is limited to pressures below 0.02 MPa absolute and temperatures up to 1500°C for safety. Gas flow rates should be kept below 200 ml/min to minimize thermal shock to the alumina tube. Installation of a gas pressure regulator to reduce output pressure to 3 PSI is recommended to prevent overpressurization.
Optional accessories include a PC control module for remote operation, digital vacuum gauges, flow meters, vacuum pump suites, and various tube fittings. The alumina tube is consumable and must be replaced as needed; spare tubes are available separately.
