YLJ-40 40T Manual Hydraulic Laboratory Press with Separable Pump and Safety Shield for Pellet Sample Preparation

The YLJ-40 is a manual hydraulic press designed to deliver up to 40 metric tons of pressing force, making it suitable for preparing compound or ceramic pellet samples in material science and chemistry laboratories. Its separable pump design facilitates straightforward maintenance and ensures reliable operation over extended use. The press accommodates a maximum working space of 80 mm in diameter and 170 mm in height, allowing for versatile sample sizes.

Equipped with a hydraulic cylinder diameter of 106 mm and a cylinder travel distance ranging from 0 to 16 mm, the YLJ-40 offers precise control over pressing depth. The top support screw is adjustable up to 170 mm in height to accommodate different sample thicknesses. A polycarbonate safety shield is included as standard to protect operators during pressing operations, with the requirement that the door remains closed during use for safety compliance.

Typische Anwendungsbereiche

This press is ideal for producing ceramic or compound pellets used in materials research, chemical analysis, and sample preparation for spectroscopy or other analytical techniques. It is commonly employed in laboratories requiring precise and repeatable pellet pressing for powder materials with particle sizes between 32 and 75 microns.

Hinweise zur Konfiguration und zum Betrieb

The standard package includes the YLJ-40 press with built-in manual hydraulic pump, polycarbonate safety shield, hydraulic oil, Allen hex wrench set, and an operation manual. Pressing dies of various diameters are available as optional accessories at additional cost. An electric pump option with programmable pressure control is offered for use inside gloveboxes; however, the manual pump feedthrough is not compatible with glovebox operation.

Operators should avoid pressing powders with particle sizes below 30 microns to prevent damage to the pressing die. It is recommended to sieve powders to 32–75 microns before pressing. After each use, clean the pressing die with ethanol. Always wear protective goggles during operation and ensure the safety shield door is closed. Do not exceed the maximum piston travel distance of 25 mm. Check hydraulic oil levels and remove air from the oil tank if the press has been idle for extended periods.
