Produktübersicht
Die MSK-SFM-GB is a compact, programmable planetary ball mill developed for laboratory grinding, mixing, and mechanical alloying of sensitive materials under controlled atmospheres. Featuring a separate milling machine and touchscreen control unit, this system is specifically designed for integration with compatible argon-filled gloveboxes, making it suitable for processing air-sensitive, moisture-sensitive, and advanced battery research materials.
The milling unit is powered by a 24V DC motor and features four grinding stations capable of accommodating 50–100 mL milling jars. The external touchscreen controller can be installed outside the glovebox and connected to the milling machine through a KF40 feedthrough, allowing operators to adjust processing parameters without opening the controlled environment.
With programmable rotational speed, milling time, operating cycles, and rotation direction, the MSK-SFM-GB provides flexible processing for various laboratory applications. The high-energy planetary milling mechanism generates centrifugal force for efficient particle size reduction, powder homogenization, and mechanical alloying. It is widely applicable to battery materials, metallic powders, metal oxides, ceramics, chemical compounds, and advanced functional materials.

Anwendungen
The MSK-SFM-GB is suitable for controlled-atmosphere powder processing in materials science and advanced laboratory research. Typical applications include battery electrode materials, solid-state battery compounds, reactive metal powders, ceramic powders, metal oxides, mechanical alloying, fine particle preparation, and homogenization of research samples.
Its separate-control configuration makes the equipment particularly useful in laboratories where sample exposure to ambient air or moisture must be minimized during grinding and mixing operations. Universities, battery research laboratories, materials research institutes, and industrial R&D facilities can use the system for small-batch experimental material processing.
Application Notes & Safety
- Material Compatibility: Select grinding jars and milling media according to sample hardness, chemical properties, and contamination requirements.
- Jar Selection: Stainless steel jars are suitable for many metallic materials, while alumina or other compatible nonmetallic jars may be preferred for selected ceramic and oxide materials.
- Avoid Incompatible Media: Do not use stainless steel grinding balls in alumina jars, as this may damage the jar and contaminate the sample.
- Balanced Loading: Install two similarly weighted jars in opposite positions or four jars with balanced loading to maintain stable rotation.
- Single-Sample Operation: When processing one sample, use a properly balanced counterweight jar in the opposite position.
- Glovebox Installation: Verify internal space, KF40 feedthrough compatibility, electrical connections, and atmosphere requirements before operation.
- Grinding Performance: Final particle size depends on material characteristics, sample loading, grinding media, operating speed, and milling duration.
Configuration Note: Standard accessories, grinding jars, milling balls, certifications, and electrical configurations should be confirmed in the final quotation. Specifications may vary depending on the selected configuration.
