SP-25BD 25KW Induction Heating System with 30-80 kHz Frequency and Timer Control for Metallic Material Processing

The SP-25BD induction heating system is engineered to support material research laboratories in efficiently melting and heat treating metallic samples. Its design incorporates the latest inverter technology, resulting in a compact and lightweight unit that delivers precise and reliable heating performance. This system is particularly suited for applications requiring rapid temperature ramp-up and controlled thermal cycles on metals.

Operating with a maximum input power of 25KW and an adjustable output frequency range between 30 and 80 kHz, the SP-25BD provides versatile heating capabilities. The unit supports continuous operation with a 100% duty cycle and includes a robust air cooling system via a rear fan. Its induction coil dimensions are 150mm outer diameter, 140mm inner diameter, and 65mm height, accommodating various crucible sizes for sample processing.

Key Features

  • Advanced inverter technology for lightweight and efficient induction heating.
  • Selectable timer control modes: automatic with programmable heating, dwell, and cooling times (1-99 seconds each) or manual via foot pedal.
  • Operating voltage: 220V AC, 50/60Hz, three-phase; 380V three-phase available on request.
  • Output frequency adjustable from 30 to 80 kHz for tailored heating profiles.
  • Complete alumina refractory assembly including crucible support, holder, and cover for high-temperature durability.
  • Automatic protections for water pressure, over-temperature, and overpower conditions to ensure safe operation.
  • Optional precision digital temperature controller with PID tuning and C-type thermocouple for accurate temperature regulation up to 2000ºC.
  • Water cooling system requiring >10 L/min flow at ≥0.2 MPa pressure; recirculating water chiller recommended as an option.

Typical Applications

The SP-25BD is ideal for rapid melting, heat treating, and thermal cycling of metallic materials in research and development laboratories. It supports experiments requiring precise temperature control and inert atmosphere protection, such as alloy development, materials synthesis, and thermal property studies.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The system includes a complete alumina refractory assembly but requires a compatible crucible and inert gas supply to protect the graphite crucible and thermocouple during operation. Protective inert gas flow should be maintained below 200 ml/min. The induction coil can be integrated into gloveboxes via a KF40 feedthrough with inert gas supply. A recirculating water chiller is recommended for optimal cooling performance and system longevity. Optional temperature controllers and thermocouples are available to enhance process control. Safety features include automatic shutdown on water pressure loss, overheating, overpower, and water overpressure conditions.
