MSK-SFM-7 Vacuum and Vibrating Mixer with Dual Containers (150 mL & 500 mL) for Coating Slurry Preparation

The MSK-SFM-7 mixer is engineered to facilitate the preparation of coating slurries by mixing small batches of chemicals and compounds under vacuum conditions. This capability is essential for producing uniform, bubble-free slurries used in battery electrode pastes and various ceramic materials, particularly in material research laboratories. Its compact design allows integration into gloveboxes with nitrogen atmospheres, supporting controlled environment processing.

This mixer features two vacuum-sealed containers: a 150 mL stainless steel set and a 500 mL aluminum set, each equipped with a built-in mixing blade at the container top. The system includes a built-in single-stage vacuum pump capable of reaching vacuum levels down to -0.08 MPa. A vibration plate operating at 1000 Hz is positioned beneath the containers to remove entrapped gas bubbles before vacuum mixing and to enhance slurry dispersion after mixing. The fixed mixing speed is 320 rpm, suitable for slurries with viscosities below 10,000 cps.

Key Features

  • Dual vacuum-sealed mixing containers: 150 mL stainless steel and 500 mL aluminum sets included.
  • Built-in vacuum pump achieving vacuum levels from -0.08 to 0.09 MPa for effective degassing.
  • Fixed mixing speed of 320 rpm with a 1000 Hz vibration plate to eliminate gas bubbles and improve slurry uniformity.
  • Mixing blade integrated into container tops for efficient slurry agitation.
  • Compact footprint suitable for glovebox use with nitrogen atmosphere; argon-compatible version available optionally.
  • Suggested slurry volume is 20-70% of container capacity for optimal mixing performance.
  • Optional container sizes (30 mL, 100 mL, 1000 mL) and Ar gas compatible versions available at extra cost.

Typical Applications

The MSK-SFM-7 is well suited for preparing battery electrode pastes and ceramic material slurries in research and development laboratories. Its vacuum mixing and vibration features ensure removal of gas bubbles and uniform dispersion, critical for high-quality coating slurries. The compact design allows use inside gloveboxes with nitrogen atmospheres, supporting sensitive material handling.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The mixer includes two sealed containers with integrated mixing blades and a built-in vacuum pump. Optional container sizes and an argon-compatible version are available for specialized applications. Users should maintain vacuum pump oil levels above half full to prevent damage. The maximum recommended continuous running time is under 30 minutes to ensure pump longevity. Additional accessories such as dispensing machines and viscosity meters can enhance mixing quality but are sold separately.
