HPV3LH High-Pressure Autoclave Vessel with Heating Jacket, 3L Capacity, Up to 20 MPa and 200°C

The HPV3LH is engineered for laboratory applications that demand controlled high-pressure and high-temperature environments, such as hydrothermal synthesis and material testing. It features a stainless steel 316L pressure vessel designed to safely contain reactions up to 20 MPa (200 bars) and temperatures reaching 200°C. This model comes standard with a 3-liter internal volume, with optional larger vessels of 5 and 10 liters to accommodate varying sample sizes.

The vessel is housed within a resistance heating jacket that provides precise temperature control with an accuracy of ±1.0 °C. Two K-type thermocouples are integrated: one positioned externally for control and another centrally located inside the vessel for monitoring. Safety is enhanced by a built-in pressure relief valve and included pressure gauge, gas inlet, and outlet valves. A digital pressure gauge and magnetic stirring system are available as optional upgrades to extend functionality.

Typical Applications

Ideal for hydrothermal synthesis, chemical reactions under high pressure and temperature, material testing, and other laboratory processes requiring controlled pressurized environments.

Configuration & Operating Notes

Two graphite gaskets are included as consumables. For secure sealing, it is recommended to use an electric impact torque wrench to tighten flange bolts to approximately 300 N·m torque. Since September 2022, a safety cover upgrade is advised for enhanced operator protection.

For safe operation, the vessel must be used inside an explosion-proof enclosure or isolated room. Operators should avoid standing directly over the top flange during pressurization to prevent injury in case of accidental release.

Optional accessories include magnetic stirring with speed controller and PC control software (MTS-01) compatible with LabVIEW for remote monitoring and data logging of temperature and pressure.
