OTF-1500X-II-R60 Dual Zone Rotary Tube Furnace with 1500°C Max Temperature and 60 mm OD Alumina Tube
The OTF-1500X-II-R60 is engineered for precise high-temperature processing tasks requiring uniform heat distribution and controlled atmosphere. It is ideal for synthesizing inorganic materials where temperature consistency and atmosphere control are critical. The rotary tube design enhances material mixing and exposure to heat, improving reaction uniformity and yield.
This furnace features two independently controlled heating zones, each 195 mm in length, providing a combined heating zone of 390 mm with a stable constant temperature zone of 250 mm within ±5°C when both zones are set identically. The included alumina tube measures 60 mm outer diameter by 54 mm inner diameter and 1200 mm length, rated for continuous operation up to 1400°C and short-term use up to 1500°C. The system supports vacuum operation down to 4.5×10⁻² torr with minimal leakage.

Typical Applications
This rotary tube furnace is suited for high-temperature synthesis of inorganic compounds, materials research requiring uniform heat treatment, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) processes, and vacuum or low-pressure thermal processing. It supports continuous powder feeding and retrieval systems for scalable production workflows.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The furnace includes the alumina tube and stainless steel sealing flanges with needle valves and rotatable gas connectors. Optional accessories include a continuous powder feeding and retrieving system, additional alumina tubes with gears, and computer control modules for advanced temperature profile management. The system requires a 40 A breaker and single-phase 208-240 V power supply. For safe operation under vacuum or low pressure (<0.2 bar), a two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on gas cylinders to limit pressure below 3 PSI. The silicon carbide heating rods are consumable parts and should be replaced as needed.
