GSL-2300X-C Induction Heated Horizontal Tube Furnace with IR Temperature Control, 2300°C Max, 30 mm ID Graphite Tube

The GSL-2300X-C is engineered for advanced laboratory applications requiring extremely high temperatures and precise atmosphere control. It is ideal for processes such as material synthesis, sintering, and heat treatment where temperatures up to 2300°C are necessary. The furnace’s horizontal design accommodates a 30 mm inner diameter graphite tube, providing a controlled environment for samples while enabling efficient heating.

This system integrates an induction heating coil with an infrared temperature sensor and controller, allowing accurate temperature regulation and programmable heating profiles. The graphite tube is enclosed within a fused quartz tube and insulated with high-purity carbon felt to minimize heat loss. Vacuum flanges and valves enable operation under vacuum or controlled gas atmospheres, supporting a variety of experimental conditions.

Key Features

  • Maximum temperature of 2300°C for high-temperature material processing.
  • 30 mm inner diameter graphite tube surrounded by thermal insulation and enclosed in a 4″ fused quartz tube.
  • Induction coil water-cooled with adjustable frequency (80–200 kHz) and 35 kW maximum power input.
  • Infrared temperature sensor with ±2°C accuracy and 30 programmable segments for precise temperature control.
  • Vacuum sealing with flanges supporting vacuum levels down to 10-5 torr using turbopump.
  • Automatic protections including water pressure, over-temperature, and overload safeguards.
  • Optional YSZ ceramic coating for graphite tube inner surface to protect carbon-sensitive materials.

Typical Applications

Suitable for high-temperature synthesis, sintering, and annealing of advanced ceramics, metals, and composites. Used in research fields requiring controlled atmospheres and rapid thermal cycling, such as materials science, semiconductor processing, and carbon material studies.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The furnace includes a water-cooled induction coil and an IR temperature sensor integrated into the vacuum flange assembly. Optional accessories include a YSZ ceramic coating for the graphite tube inner surface to protect carbon-sensitive samples and a digital vacuum gauge capable of measuring down to 4 × 10-5 torr. Proper water cooling with a flow rate exceeding 116 L/min is essential to maintain coil temperature. Safety features include automatic water pressure monitoring, over-temperature, and overload protection. Users should ensure compatible vacuum pumps and gas supply systems are connected via the KF25 ports and valves for atmosphere control.
