GSL1700X100 High-Temperature Tube Furnace with 18″ Heating Zone and 4″ OD Alumina Tube for Vacuum and Gas Atmospheres
The GSL1700X100 tube furnace is engineered for advanced material and chemical research requiring precise thermal processing under vacuum or controlled gas conditions. It is particularly suited for sintering new material samples, offering a maximum working temperature of 1700°C sustained for up to one hour. The furnace incorporates a high-purity alumina tube with a 4-inch outer diameter and a heating zone length of 457 mm (18 inches), providing uniform temperature distribution for sample processing.
This bench-top unit features a double-layer steel casing with integrated air cooling and two internal fans to maintain external surface temperatures below 60°C. The heating elements consist of eight super 1800ºC grade molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) rods, each measuring 30 x 330 mm, ensuring rapid and stable heating. Temperature control is managed by a programmable digital controller with ±1°C accuracy, utilizing PID automatic control via silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) power modulation. The system supports up to 30 programmable segments for precise ramping, dwelling, and cooling profiles.

Configuration & Operating Notes
The furnace includes standard sealing flanges with double silicone O-rings and needle valves for gas and vacuum control. Optional accessories include KF25 vacuum adapters, digital vacuum gauges, flow meters, and PC control modules for enhanced operation and monitoring. Users should perform temperature calibration before use to ensure accuracy. The alumina tube is consumable and should be replaced as needed. Safe operation requires limiting gas flow rates below 200 ml/min and using a gas pressure regulator to avoid over-pressurizing the chamber. Vacuum operation is recommended up to 1500°C to maintain tube integrity.
