GSL-1100X-MGI-16-R 16-Channel Rocking Tube Furnace with Independent Temperature Control up to 1100°C for High-Throughput Alloy and Ceramic Heat Treatment

The GSL-1100X-MGI-16-R is engineered to facilitate high-throughput heat treatment experiments involving alloys and ceramics, allowing researchers to process multiple samples simultaneously under precisely controlled conditions. This system is particularly suited for material research requiring varied temperature profiles and gas atmospheres within a compact footprint.

The furnace comprises 16 individual tube furnace modules, each equipped with a 25 mm outer diameter quartz tube and independent temperature control up to 1100°C. Each module includes its own gas inlet and outlet with needle valves and vacuum ports, enabling distinct atmospheric conditions per sample. The entire assembly is mounted on a rocking stage driven by a heavy-duty motor, providing a rocking angle range of -15º to +15º at up to 25 cycles per minute to enhance uniform heat treatment.

Key Features

  • Sixteen independent quartz tube furnace modules with 25 mm O.D. x 20 mm I.D. x 200 mm length tubes included.
  • Individual temperature control for each channel up to 1100°C with ±1°C accuracy.
  • Integrated quick-seal flanges with gas inlet/outlet and vacuum ports for controlled atmospheres and vacuum processing.
  • Rocking stage with adjustable angle (-15º to +15º) and frequency (up to 25 cycles/min) for dynamic sample exposure.
  • Programmable 30-segment temperature controllers with 6″ touchscreen interface and optional PC software via RS484 port.
  • Heating elements constructed from NiCrAl alloy wire for reliable performance.
  • CE certified; optional NRTL (UL61010) or CSA certification available.

Typical Applications

This furnace system is ideal for research labs conducting simultaneous heat treatments on multiple alloy and ceramic samples under varied atmospheres and temperature profiles. It supports studies in material synthesis, phase transformation, and thermal stability assessments requiring precise temperature control and dynamic sample positioning.

Configuration & Operating Notes

The system includes 16 quartz tubes and corresponding stainless steel flanges with integrated gas and vacuum ports. A single vacuum pump can be connected via a KF25 port using an adaptor. Users must install a pressure regulator on gas tanks to maintain maximum pressure below 7.5 PSI (0.5 atm) to ensure safe operation. The power cable is supplied without a plug; users should install a compatible plug locally. Optional software is available for PC-based temperature program control. The furnace can be customized for larger chemical vapor deposition (CVD) applications with appropriate gas delivery modifications upon consultation.
