YLJ-HP300 Precision Laminating Hot Press with 30 Ton Hydraulic Force, Dual PID Temperature Control up to 500°C, 12″ x 12″ Hardened Alloy Platens
The YLJ-HP300 is engineered to meet the demanding requirements of sample preparation involving polymers, ceramics, and solid oxide electrochemical cells (SOEC). It provides precise lamination capabilities through a combination of high pressing force and accurate temperature control, essential for producing uniform, defect-free laminated samples in research and industrial laboratories.
This hot press utilizes a manual hydraulic system capable of applying up to 30 tons (292 kN) of force, monitored via an integrated pressure gauge with an accuracy of ±1.25 kN. The pressing platens measure 300 mm by 300 mm (nominal 12″ x 12″) and are constructed from hardened Cr12MoV alloy, precision-ground to a surface roughness below 20 microns at ambient temperature. Independent digital PID controllers regulate the temperature of the top and bottom platens, each programmable with up to 30 segments and accurate within ±2°C, reaching a maximum of 500°C within 60 minutes.
Key Features
- Manual hydraulic press delivering up to 30 tons force with integrated pressure gauge for precise force monitoring.
- Dual hardened Cr12MoV alloy heating platens (300×300 mm) with CNC-ground flat surfaces and <20 micron roughness.
- Independent dual PID temperature controllers with 30 programmable segments, controlling top and bottom platens separately.
- Maximum operating temperature of 500°C achievable within 60 minutes; continuous operation at 400°C with water cooling.
- Built-in water cooling jackets on both platens with Ø12 mm push-to-connect ports to prevent overheating.

Typical Applications
The YLJ-HP300 is well suited for lamination and pressing tasks in polymer film fabrication, ceramic sample preparation, and solid oxide electrochemical cell (SOEC) research. It can be used for thermoelectric generator module testing with controlled top hot and bottom cool conditions. Its compact footprint allows installation inside gloveboxes for controlled atmosphere processing.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The system includes the hot press unit with dual temperature controllers and integrated pressure gauge. A power cord is supplied without a plug. Water chiller units such as the KJ5300 are required but not included to operate the water cooling jackets effectively. Computer software is provided for temperature profile programming and data logging; however, pressure data logging is not supported. The press is manually operated, and care should be taken to monitor pressure and temperature parameters during use.
